I would like to get some comments back in regards to the grading of music & PE for students in grades K-5. This is a busy time of year as you already know, so thanks ahead of time for taking the time to give me feedback.
1. Do you grade using S+, S, S-, U or something similar? If not, what do you use and how is it used?
2. Do you require the music & PE teachers to mark in their grade book at least once for each child at least once a week? If not, please explain how they assess.
3. Please give any advise to your successes and or failures in setting up a grading program for music and PE.

Good morning Craig, We at canistota give S, N, U As far as giving a weekly grade, we don't. If there is a concern, we ask that the teacher call the parent. Have a great day! DKom

In Colman Egan, PE and Music place their grades on DDNCampus which appears on the report card. K-4 uses the s,n, u grade. 5 and 6 use letter grades. These are based on participation and testing.
